La Perla is in reference to a very historical neighborhood in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is the heart of the city. The name is inspired by the ingredients in this cocktail which are common on the island. They are the heart of this cocktail.
.75 oz coconut fat washed Rittenhouse Rye
.5 oz toasted coconut syrup
.25 oz Giffard passion fruit
.25 oz yellow chartreuse
Lime acid
2.25 oz coconut water
This cocktail will be batched as there is no regular water dilution, stored cold, and it will be a 4 oz pour over a tempered large format ice cube.
Garnish: manicured orange zest
